About us
At Able Foods, we home-deliver healthy and downright delicious ready-made meals that help feed your ability!
It’s our mission to enable healthier, happier and more independent lives for each and every ability.
Our specialist approach means we know the ins and outs of the NDIS and Aged Care (Home Care Packages). This informs every decision we make, from training our expert team, menu planning and even how we invoice. When you dine with us, you can sit back and enjoy choice, autonomy, and flexibility.
We’ve also got a menu that takes the guesswork out of healthy eating with a huge selection of over 80 items to choose from.

Our story
2014

2017
Hit 100 enters the NDIS space as it begins to roll out across Australia to increase access and choice of healthy, home-delivered meals to people with disability.
2019
Hit 100 rebranded as Kinela to better reflect the mission to democratise healthcare and change the game so that everyone has access to better health.
2020
Paralympic Gold Medalist Dylan Alcott OAM and current CEO Spencer Ratliff co-found Able Foods to shake up the ready-made meal space for NDIS participants including a first in market texture modified range.
2021
Able Foods is acquired by Kinela, Australia’s leading innovator in disability healthcare. The Kinela meal delivery business begins operating as part of the Able Foods brand, bringing together two of the strongest brands in the business.
2022
Able Foods is acquired by a values-aligned investor, For Purpose Investment Partners (FPIP), which allows our business to scale with a focus on delivering greater social impact to our clients.
2023
We branch into Aged Care through Home Care Packages extending our service to include elderly Australians. We’re now working with over 40 HCP Providers and counting.
Today
Our story is just getting started, and we can’t wait to do bigger and better things as we continue to grow.
